Six years and dozens of concerts after our second album, we came back to the recording studio. We were eager to experiment with new sounds and to expand our musical vision. The familiar three-voice blend of Die Drei Kantoren is now backed by a whole orchestra. We hope you enjoyed listening to this recording as much as we enjoyed making it for you.

עִבּוּד: אָסָף לֵוִיטִין

כְּשֶׁהָרַבִּי סוֹף כָּל סוֹף הֶחֱלִיט אִשָּׁה לָקַחַת
הִתְאַסְּפוּ הַחֲסִידִים לִרְאוֹת אֶת הַמֻּצְלַחַת
הֵם אֶת הָרַבִּי שָׁאֲלוּ: "מָה נְדוּנְיָה תִּתֵּן לָהּ?"
וְהֵשִׁיב לָהֶם הָרַב: "אֶתֵּן לָהּ מָה שֶׁאֵין לָהּ".

הוּא יוֹם יוֹם נָשָׂא תְּפִלָּה לָאֵל שֶׁבַּשָּׁמַיִם

כָּךְ עָבְרוּ מִסְפַּר שָׁנִים נָשְׂאוּ כֻּלָּם כַּפַּיִם:
"הוֹ רַבִּינִיוּ, מָתַי סוֹף סוֹף נִשְׁתֶּה אִתְּךָ לְחַיִּים?"
וְדַוְקָא לַשִּׂמְחָה הַזֹּאת הִזְמִין הָרַב אוֹתָנוּ
וּמִבְּנוֹ אֲשֶׁר נוֹלַד מִלָּה אַחַת שָׁמַעְנוּ:

When the Rebbe finally decided to take a wife
the Chassidim came together to see the lucky girl.
They asked the Rebbe: What will you give her as a dowry?
And the Rebbe answered: I shall give her what she has never had before.
Chiribim, Chiribom...

Every day he prayed to God in the heavens,
While she cooked noodles for him and mended his socks.
But every night he helped her close the blinds
and everyone could hear him singing to her:
Chiribim, Chiribom...

The years went by, and everyone wanted to know:
Ach Rebbiniu, when can we finally congratulate you?
The Rebbe invited all of us to the celebration
and his newborn son spoke but one word, which we all heard:
Chiribim, Chiribom...
