This is Die Drei Kantoren’s second CD, consisting of Chazzanut, Yiddish and Chasidic melodies, Israeli songs, and Sepharadic piyutim – all in original arrangements. We are happy to feature some wonderful guest artists who made this second album even richer in sound and inspiration. Two of the pieces in this album – Pitchu Li and Elu Dvarim – were composed especially for us by our very own Ido Ben-Gal and Assaf Levitin. Our dozens of concerts in Jewish communities and in festivals in Germany and abroad motivated us to get back into the recording studio as quickly as possible. For this we are very thankful.

Akavia ben Mahalalel said:
Keep three things in mind and you will not come to sin:
Know from where you came, and to where you are going,
And before Whom you will have to give account and reckoning.
From where did you come? From a putrid drop.
To where are you going? To a place of dust, worms, and maggots.
And before Whom will you have to give account and reckoning?
Before the King of Kings, the Holy One, Blessed be He.
